  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The Reds suffered their first defeat of the Arne Slot era on Saturday as they surprisingly went down 1-0 against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Former Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi grabbed the winner in the 72nd minute as Forest extended their unbeaten run in the current campaign.

  The Reds custodian was understandably frustrated after dropping three points at Anfield as he claimed the team lacked quality on the pitch. He also accused the opponent of adopting an ultra-defensive approach in the match and constantly playing long balls which affected their gameplay.

• WHAT ALISSON SAID

  Speaking to reporters after the match, the Brazilian said: "It was a shame, losing points at home is not good at all but the opponent today only wanted to defend and play for the long ball. We gave them that too easily when they scored, it was poor defensively from us.

  "We couldn't create much, we had a lack of quality today, we needed more energy. It is three points we have lost today unnecessarily. All the opportunities we had were not clear enough and they defended great, they threw themselves in front of the ball."
